About Us

Our Story

I started reselling at 17 years old. At first, it started as a simple hobby and a way for me to stay connected to my passion for video games. However, quickly I learned how big the resell market really was. 14 years later, I found myself deep into my tech career, and reselling video games on the side for fun.

Game hunting day after day, and watching my favorite YouTubers do the same, I realized that the majority of our wasted time is spent doing one thing: scanning barcodes and looking up comps. With video games in particular, it is tedious to have to flip over a game, scan the barcode, and then hope that someone on eBay had a listing with that barcode so we can see a price.

When we’re not so lucky, we then have to perform another search using the title, filter by sold listings, and then finally be shown the price. If you have a fast internet connection, it could take you 2 minutes to find the price for a single item. Now imagine there are 40 games on a shelf you’ve never comped before. That’s 80 minutes down the drain. And that’s just one shelf!

As a tech professional, I thought to myself: “Surely, there is an app by now that simply allows us to take a picture, grab the titles of the games on the entire shelf, and return the prices using real-time data.” I searched and searched and couldn’t find a single thing.

So, my co-founder and I decided to build it ourselves.

We started our company with a single purpose: to save people time. PriceCam will save resellers, collectors, and shop owners countless hours that would otherwise be spent monotonously scanning game-after-game, shelf-after-shelf.

Now, with the click of a single button, you can price out entire shelves in real-time and focus your energy on finding gems and quick flips that pay your bills.

We’ve started with video games, but will quickly expand the app to work on DVDs, books, trading cards, and more. Follow us, download the app, and let us help you free up more time doing the things you actually love.
